Firefighters from multiple departments were called to battle a blaze Monday that destroyed a rural Jacksonville house.
Jacksonville firefighters responded about 6:45 p.m. Monday to the fire in the 2000 block of Day Road in Literberry Precinct, but arrived to find the house engulfed. Crews from South Jacksonville and Ashland fire departments assisted.
No injuries were reported, but firefighters were still investigating.
