QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) – A mudslide caused major damage at the Aldi shopping plaza in Quincy, according to a press release from the city.
Heavy rains on Sunday triggered the mudslide, per the city.
“[The mudslide] damaged utility lines and the water main serving the Aldi shopping plaza, causing a temporary loss of electric and water service to the area,” the Quincy press release says.
WCTV received photos appearing to show a massive sinkhole near the Aldi caused by the mudslide.

Electricity has since been restored to the area, and water service was restored as of about 2 p.m. on Monday.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
