Average prices across Miami-Dade fell 5.2 cents this week, while Key Biscayne stayed among the most expensive places to fill up.
Miami drivers saw a slight break at the pump this week, with average gasoline prices across the Metro area falling 5.2 cents per gallon.
According to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,690 stations in Miami, the average price of regular gasoline is $4.37 per gallon to start the post-Holiday week. Drivers are paying 39.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and $1.36 higher than a year ago.
On Key Biscayne, both Island gas stations remained at $5.49 per gallon for regular gasoline, keeping the Island among the most expensive places to fill up in Miami-Dade County.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Miami was priced at $3.89 per gallon on Sunday, while the most expensive reached $5.99 per gallon.
“Falling oil prices helped offset earlier price spikes in many markets, bringing relief to motorists,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
