TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Suspected Florida State University campus shooter Phoenix Ikner is expected to appear in court Tuesday for a pre-trial hearing.
The hearing scheduled to take place at 1:30 p.m. will be the first hearing since security and bodycam footage were released from the day of the deadly April 2025 shooting.
It’s also the first hearing since Ikner’s ChatGPT logs were released, resulting in several lawsuits.

At this time, it is unknown what will be discussed during the hearing.
However, his expected appearance Tuesday comes after his defense attorney waived his appearances in court hearings, court records show.
Ikner is accused of opening fire on FSU’s campus inside and outside the Student Union last year in April, killing two men and leaving several other people injured. He’s expected to stand trial on October 19.
