TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Part of Centerville Road will be temporarily closed beginning Tuesday night, according to the City of Tallahassee.
The closure is part of the city’s electric infrastructure project.
Starting Tuesday, May 26 at 8 p.m., part of Centerville Road from Hodges Drive to just north of Betton Road will be closed overnight.
Work will take place seven days a week from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Northbound traffic on Centerville Road/Magnolia Drive will be detoured at Seventh Avenue. Southbound traffic on Centerville Road will be detoured at Blair Stone Road and Eastbound traffic on Betton Road/Bradford Road will be detoured at Thomasville Road.
This is the first of four phases of construction in the electric infrastructure project, according to the city.
This closure is expected to last until June 16.
The next phase of the project will be between Betton Road and Trescott Drive and is expected to start in mid-to-late June, the city says.
