TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Months after the deadline and following a special session, Florida lawmakers have filed a budget.
The final total of the budget sits at about $114 billion, which is right between the House’s original version of $113 billion and the Senate’s proposed budget of just over $115 billion

Florida lawmakers had to start the process over after not coming to a budget agreement during the 60 day regular legislative session.
The special session for the budget started two weeks ago, on May 12.
The vote on the newly proposed budget is expected Friday afternoon.
The fiscal year starts July 1.
