OXFORD — The Miami University men’s basketball team will enter the 2026-27 season with a retooled roster but a proven standard.

The RedHawks, coming off a historic 32-2 season that included an 18-0 Mid-American Conference record, an NCAA tournament at-large bid and a First Four win over SMU, return guard Evan Ipsaro, guard Luke Skaljac and forward Almar Atlason as key pieces for Miami fifth-year coach Travis Steele.

Miami’s roster lists 16 players — including several transfers and three freshmen — for next season.

Ipsaro, a senior from Covington Catholic, gives Miami one of its most important returning guards. He averaged 13.9 points and 3.3 assists in 12 games last season before his injury, while Skaljac averaged 10.3 points and a team-high 149 assists. Atlason averaged 9.9 points and shot 36.4% from 3-point range.

The RedHawks also added size through transfers Preston Copeland, Rich Rolf and Stevie Elam, while freshmen Alan Horton, Anthony Fresh and Danny Kelly join the program.

Key losses include transfers Eian Elmer, Brant Byers and Trey Perry. Peter Suder, Antwone Woolfolk and Eli Yofan graduated.
