TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCJB) – After gaveling in for a special session earlier this month to hash out differences in the state budget, lawmakers reached a deal Sunday night.
The Senate’s initial proposal comes in $1.4 billion above the House plan. Because of that, a special session was called after lawmakers couldn’t reach a deal after their 60 regular session.
The budget is about $115 billion, about $2 billion less than what Gov. Ron DeSantis proposed at the end of last year.
