• The most ignored sign I have seen lately is the yield sign. It does not mean you can make that right turn and ignore those making a highway left. You do not have the right of way!

• I’m ticked off that my Spectrum bill goes up, but my service goes down. When I try to watch the news (Channels 2, 6 and 9) at noon, the sound keeps going out completely for several seconds, so I miss the gist of what is happening. It is followed by three small circles on my screen until the sound comes back again.

• I am ticked off at city and county leaders, sports reporters and local tourism big shots claiming that Orlando really needs a major-league baseball team. One state representative who is running for mayor of Orlando says that everyone she talks to is really excited about this. Everyone? Check attendance records for the Tampa Rays and Miami Marlins home games and me tell how excited their fan base, or lack thereof, is. Orlando would be better? Dream on, Dreamers.

• I agree with the writer about the ad with all the cartoon dogs. What was it about? Did they say that was an ad for Publix?

The flip side

• I want to say congrats to the UCF Lady Knights for a great softball season. You should be proud of yourselves for going that far to the NCAA Super Regionals. I will be waiting for next year’s season to see you go all the way to the Women’s College World Series. Congrats again, ladies.
