Jacksonville-area police news for May 28, 2026

• A 24-year-old Jacksonville woman was cited at 3:46 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of North Diamond Street on charges of driving while license is suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

• Police were called at 1:56 a.m. Wednesday to a disturbance at Casey’s General Store at 525 E. Morton Ave. Those involved separated before officers arrived, according to a police report. 

• Police were called at 8:52 a.m. Tuesday to a disturbance in the 600 block of East State Street. Those involved agreed to separate.

• A license plate was stolen from a garage in the first block of Ivywood Drive, according to a report filed at 4:37 a.m. Tuesday. It later was recovered by Greene County Sheriff’s Department, according to a police report.

• A 59-year-old Quincy man was booked into Pike County Jail on Monday on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court.

• A 35-year-old Rockport man was booked into Pike County Jail on Friday on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court.

• A 20-year-old Belleville man was booked into Pike County Jail on Thursday on warrants accusing him of failing to appear in court.

• A 19-year-old Jacksonville man was booked into Pike County Jail on May 20 on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court.

• A 47-year-old Pittsfield woman was booked into Pike County Jail on May 18 on a warrant accusing her of failing to appear in court.

• A 42-year-old Meredosia man was booked into Pike County Jail on May 18 on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court.

• A 46-year-old Pittsfield woman was booked into Pike County Jail on May 18 on a warrant accusing her of failing to appear in court.

• A 59-year-old Pittsfield woman was booked into Pike County Jail on Saturday on a charge of possession of unsealed cannabis by a passenger.

• A 28-year-old Pittsfield man was booked into Pike County Jail on Friday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of unsealed cannabis by a driver.

• A 28-year-old Pittsfield woman was booked into Pike County Jail on Friday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of unsealed cannabis by a passenger.
