Rich Blackwell, a Cape Coral resident, shared his thoughts on the project. “We’re glad to see something’s happening, but we’re still questioning what’s eventually going to be here,” Blackwell said. The estimated total cost of the project is approximately $225 million, a figure that has raised concerns among residents and council members. Council members emphasized that obtaining a permit for the pier is a top priority.
