As another school year ends, Broward County Public Schools proudly celebrates the Class of 2026 — a remarkable group of almost 16,000 students whose achievements reflect not only their hard work and determination but also the strength and promise of our public schools.
Across Broward County, thousands of graduates are preparing to take their next steps toward their future. Some will attend the nation’s top colleges and universities, while others will answer the call to serve and protect by joining the military. Many more will launch their careers directly by entering the workforce, pursuing apprenticeships or mastering the skilled trades that are essential to building and sustaining our communities and economy.
No matter which path they choose, one thing is clear: Our graduates are ready.

At Broward County Public Schools, we continue to see our students perform at the highest levels academically, artistically, athletically and professionally. Their success is reflected not only in acceptance letters, more than $300 million in scholarships or the more than 31,000 college credits already earned through dual enrollment, but in the character, resilience and leadership they demonstrate every day.
BCPS has worked to ensure our students are prepared for success in today’s rapidly changing world by exposing them to emerging technologies, career pathways, internships, career and technical education programs, and other real-world learning experiences. Students in this graduating class have earned close to 19,000 industry certifications. Almost 400 of them completed high school while earning their associate degree at the same time. We have not just prepared them for graduation; we have prepared them for careers, leadership and life.
These students represent the future workforce of Broward County and beyond. They will become our teachers, nurses, engineers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, first responders, business leaders, electricians, mechanics, military leaders, public servants and much more. They will power our local economy, strengthen our neighborhoods and shape the future of our community for generations to come.
Public schools are often described as the foundation of a community, but they are also one of its greatest economic engines. Strong schools create opportunities. They prepare students for high-demand careers, attract businesses and families, strengthen property values and help ensure long-term economic growth and stability.
The success of Broward County Public Schools is directly connected to the success of Broward County itself.
Of course, none of this happens by accident.
Behind every graduating senior is a team of dedicated adults who guide, support and encourage them along the way. Our teachers inspire students to learn and ignite a curiosity for discovering the world around them. Our support staff ensures schools operate safely and efficiently. Our principals and school leaders create environments where students can thrive. From bus drivers and cafeteria workers to counselors, coaches, custodians, paraprofessionals and district staff, every employee plays an important role in helping students succeed.
As I shake students’ hands during graduation ceremonies across the county, I speak for our entire community in saying how proud we are of every one of them. Watching our graduates walk across that stage is a powerful reminder of what is possible when students, families, educators and communities work together.
I want to thank our entire BCPS family for their commitment to our students and schools.
I also want to thank our parents, guardians, families and community partners who continue to support and believe in public education. Graduation is not just a celebration for students; it is a celebration for everyone in the community who helped make their success possible.
At BCPS, we remain focused on preparing students for life after graduation and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed, no matter their chosen path. Whether students are heading to a university campus, entering the workforce, serving in the military, or pursuing a technical certification, we are proud of every one of them.
To the Class of 2026, congratulations. Your future is bright, your community believes in you, and we cannot wait to see the impact you will make on the world.
