JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (KLTV) – Former Jacksonville Indian Jayden Boyd drove in three runs, but Dallas College Eastfield’s season came to an end with two losses on Tuesday.
Eastfield lost to SUNY Niagara 6-5 and Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester 12-10.
Against SUNY Niagara, Boyd was the designated hitter and batted sixth. He went 1-for-4 with an RBI. In the bottom of the first inning, Boyd singled and advanced to second on an error, scoring Erik Aguirre. Against Rowan College, Boyd went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and two runs. In the top of the fifth inning, Boyd hit a double, scoring Aguirre. In the top of the eighth inning, Boyd singled, scoring Sergio Gastelum.
Boyd finished the season hitting .304 with 14 home runs, 51 RBI and 46 runs. Eastfield ended the season 46-15.
