ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA)—A new speakeasy tucked inside a working distillery is now open in St. Petersburg.
The St. Petersburg Distillery opened 31 South, a 45-seat speakeasy inside the working distillery, and will introduce a new after-hours experience above the production floor, accessible by secret password.
According to the St. Petersburg Distillery, the lounge draws on the spirit of the Prohibition era.

“During the day, St. Petersburg Distillery is a place where guests can experience the spirit of St. Pete in our Spirits Garden, Welcome Salon, and tour Florida’s top craft distillery,” said Evan Brownstein, CEO of St. Petersburg Distillery. “Now, at night, guests can discover a whole new experience, a place true to St. Petersburg’s elegant bootlegger spirit in a convivial club-like social setting.”
The new speakeasy will offer food and cocktails, which are created with St. Petersburg Distillery’s handcrafted spirits.
31 South Speakeasy is located within the St. Petersburg Distillery and is open Thursday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
