ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) – A 15-year-old was injured when he crashed an SUV into a house Tuesday night in St. Petersburg, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers say at about 10 p.m., the Clearwater teen was driving a Dodge Durango southbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue at a high rate of speed when he lost control near Hall Street.
The SUV hit multiple signs and utility poles before crashing into a home. No one inside the home was injured, investigators said.
The vehicle collided with the house and came to rest on top of a parked car.
The teen was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the FHP said.
The investigation is ongoing.
