PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A late-night hunt for high-end booze and sports gear ended in handcuffs after a Fort Lauderdale man allegedly raided luxury rides inside a Palm Beach condo garage.

According to the Palm Beach Police Department, officers responded to the Three Thirty Cocoanut Row condominium complex around 3:27 a.m. after building security spotted a man rummaging through parked vehicles. Upon arrival, members of the Burglary Strike Force located 26-year-old Jeremy Garrett Duncans hiding near the dumpsters.

Duncans, who appeared visibly anxious, initially claimed he was making a delivery and had wandered into the secure garage to discard trash, where he lost his house key.

However, a surveillance monitor showed Duncans entering a resident’s 2025 Range Rover with a flashlight, as well as attempting to access a Ford Explorer and a Toyota SUV. Inside the Range Rover’s trunk, a victim discovered a box containing unopened bottles of liquor and sports rackets had been targeted.

During a search incident to his arrest, police recovered a flashlight and a black glove from Duncans’ pockets. Officers also uncovered a matching glove, a black ski mask, and wire cutters on the front passenger floorboard of a gray Honda Accord parked in the garage, which Duncans admitted he arrived in.

A woman found waiting in the driver’s seat of that vehicle was also detained after a records check revealed she had an outstanding warrant for burglary out of Broward County.
