Indian Rocks Beach is now requiring beachgoers to pay for parking at public beach entryways.
This initiative is part of a six month pilot program the City Commission approved back in February, but was put in place May 18th.
Visitors will have to pay $4.50 through the ParkMobile app or website.
Visitors have to pay from 8 AM to 10 PM all seven days of the week.
Residents of Indian Rocks Beach can apply for a decal that allows them to park in designated spots and avoid the fees.

“We’ll let the public know we’re going to put the information also on our website so that the public can see what’s happening.”
Moving forward with next year’s budget, the city will create a parking fund for maintenance and future projects.
Indian Rocks Beach was one of the last in Pinellas County to offer free public beach parking.
