Lowndes High School graduate victim of Tallahassee shooting

VALDOSTA — Gavin Yates-Lyons, a recent graduate of Lowndes High School and Ball State Cardinals football signee, was identified as one of the victims shot in Tallahassee early Sunday.
He had graduated from Lowndes High the previous morning.
Tallahassee Police Department said Yates-Lyons suffered a life-threatening injury at what TPD believes was a “pop-up party” in a parking garage on Chapel Drive.
Two others were injured, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
No arrests have been made at the time of publication. Those with information on the incident have been asked to call TPD at 850-891-4200, or report anonymously to their Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS.
