ORLANDO, Fla. (KQDS-TV) — ESPN’S Shams Charania is reporting the Orlando Magic are finalizing the hire of San Antonio Spurs associate coach Sean Sweeney as the franchise’s new head coach.
Sweeney was born in St. Paul and attended Cretin-Derham Hall High School.
He attended the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay before transferring to the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
Sweeney has also worked with the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons and Dallas Mavericks.
