TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa police are looking for a person responsible for a deadly hit-and-run that happened on Memorial Day.
According to investigators, a 19-year-old was riding her bicycle west on Waters Avenue near the intersection with North Albany Avenue when she was hit by a car in the far-right lane at about 10:05 p.m.

The driver did not stop and help the woman, leaving her at the scene.
Tampa police said the woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but she died Tuesday.
“Detectives, continuing to develop leads in the case, have been able to successfully identify several car parts they recovered from the scene as coming from a 2013-2016 model year Toyota Rav4,” the Tampa Police Department wrote.
Detectives asked the public for help in finding the driver, specifically asking for any surveillance video from residents and business owners that could be useful to the investigation.
“Even the smallest lead could help solve this case and provide some closure to the family as they navigate this difficult time,” the department stated.
