200 Central Avenue, the tallest office building in Pinellas County, was acquired by commercial real estate company Feldman Equities on Thursday.

The 28-story building in downtown St. Petersburg’s business district is home to tenants Raymond James, Dynasty Financial Partners, ARK Invest, Merrill Lynch, Interactive Communications, Trenam Law, and Industrious, among others. Craft Kafe, Taverna Costale and Naked Farmer are ground-level restaurant tenants in the building at the corner of Central Avenue and Second Street.

The purchase price of the tower, formerly known as Priatek Plaza, was not immediately disclosed.

Feldman Equities partnered with the Youngquist family and Equity Street Capital on the deal, according to a news release. The joint venture intends to invest $20 million in renovations to the property, the release said.

“Our continued investment in downtown St. Petersburg’s office market is a vote of confidence in this city’s future,” said Mack Feldman, vice president at Feldman Equities in a statement. “200 Central is the address of choice for premier tenants in Tampa Bay, and we intend to build on that reputation.”

The building is 380 feet tall, offering 308,000 square feet of office and retail space, and unobstructed views of Tampa Bay from many floors.

Feldman Equities is a St. Petersburg-based real estate firm that specializes in acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of office and retail properties in Florida. Feldman will manage leases in the building.
