TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – We are waking up to another muggy morning. It is one of those where if you have the A/C on inside the car as you head out the door this morning, the windshield wipers will be needed because of the immediate condensation of the water vapor from the air conditioning.
Humid with showers:
The windshield wipers may also be needed as you get started on your Saturday morning errands due to scattered showers.
Additional scattered rain and a few thunderstorms are expected this afternoon across the area. Per usual, it is NOT going to be an all-day rain, but there is a chance of rain at ANYTIME today. Be sure that you have the FREE WCTV First Alert Weather App to track rain and thunderstorms.
While severe weather is not expected, some storms could slow down your afternoon plans, bringing tough driving conditions from intense rainfall, some small hail and gusty winds between 30 and 40 mph.
In between the rain and storms, partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies, warm and humid. While the thermometers will get near 90, the humidity will make it feel like the mid-90s.
More rain tomorrow:
Rain is likely on Sunday and will once again impact your outdoor plans, but tomorrow’s rain looks like a mainly afternoon event. So you should be able to get the dog for a walk tomorrow morning without getting wet. Temperatures will likely be a touch warmer tomorrow with a little more sun in the morning. Warm and humid before the storms arrive. Rain lingers into the evening and overnight.
Changes next week:
Another wave of showers and storms with beneficial rainfall is expected on Monday. Highs near 90 and still humid.
Some drier air starts to trickle in on Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing less humid air and lower rain chances to the Big Bend and South Georgia. Hot in the low 90s. Isolated showers and storms from the sea breeze and daytime heating are still possible, but coverage will be very limited.
