• A 30-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 9:42 p.m. Saturday on a residential burglary charge. He was accused of breaking into an apartment in the 300 block of South Clay Avenue. He also was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance after police said they found a controlled substance on him during the investigation, according to a police report.

• A 39-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 7:33 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of West Morton Avenue on a charge of driving while license is suspended and cited on a charge of having an obstructed windshield.

• A 32-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 2:23 p.m. Saturday on a retail theft charge. He was accused of stealing vodka from Downtown Liquors, 340 W. College Ave., about 2:59 p.m. Thursday.

• A 26-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 9:18 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Brooklyn Avenue on a domestic battery charge. He was accused of pushing his ex-girlfriend to the ground, causing minor injuries, according to a police report.

• A 49-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 8:36 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West College Avenue on a retail theft charge. He was accused of pushing a shopping cart with merchandise out the fire exit at Midland Farm & Home Supply, 1203 W. Morton Ave., about 12:40 p.m. Friday, according to a police report.

•  A 25-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 2:13 a.m. Saturday at Hoagland Boulevard and South Diamond Street on charges of possession of methamphetamine, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest.

• A 28-year-old Jacksonville woman was arrested at 3:39 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of West Beecher Avenue on a disorderly conduct charge. She was accused of trying to enter a neighbor’s apartment in an attempt to fight the resident.

• A 26-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 11:47 a.m. Friday on a retail theft charge. He was accused of entering an unlocked business in the 200 block of East Morton Avenue overnight Tuesday and taking items, according to a police report.

• Police were called at 11:37 a.m. Friday to a disturbance in the 500 block of East State Street involving a woman blocking a driveway with her belongings and making threats. The woman was given a letter of no-trespassing and left the area.

• A 37-year-old Roodhouse woman was cited on a charge of failing to yield after her car and one being driven by a 16-year-old girl collided at 4:07 p.m. Friday at North Prairie Street and West College Avenue.

• A 36-year-old Springfield man was cited on charges of driving too fast for conditions and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after his car went off the road about 5:29 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Washington Street and hit a utility pole.
