TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida State baseball and Coastal Carolina resumed play of the first elimination game in the Tallahassee Regional at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Neither team could find the scoresheet in the final four innings, meaning the Seminoles 2-1 lead at the stoppage held as the final score.
FSU’s Saturday starter Trey Beard pitched all four innings for the Seminoles. He struck out nine and allowed just one hit in the abbreviated outing.
Florida State will face the loser of the St. John’s and Northern Illinois later on Sunday. First pitch is tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m.
