JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Jacksonville Police Department are investigating after an altercation on May 30 led to a person being stabbed.
The police said they responded to a subject with a weapon at 1126 Henderson Drive, and the initial investigation determined that two customers at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Stacey Nicole Sanders, 54, and Bethany May Cardona, 39, were in a physical exchange when Sanders brandished a firearm.
Officials said that David Cardona, 44, disarmed Sanders, who then left the business briefly. Sanders returned with a knife, which was used to stab Mr. Cardona in the chest.
Sanders has been charged with the following offenses:
Misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon
misdemeanor carrying a concealed handgun
Sanders was given a $1,000 secured bond.
