VALDOSTA — After a week in critical condition, Gavin Yates-Lyons died Sunday from his injuries from the Tallahassee garage shooting.
He was one of three people shot at what the Tallahassee Police Department believes was a “pop-up party” on May 24, and the only one with critical injuries.
A GoFundMe has been created to support the family as they grieve, originally created to help with medical costs.
“Gavin Yates-Lysons was an 18-year-old who finished high school early at Lowndes County High School, where he excelled as a football player and was known for his respectful nature, kind heart, and deep love for his family and friends,” the GoFundMe reads.
