TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Rail service operator CSX will begin a week-long maintenance project on its tracks in Tampa starting Monday.
According to the City of Tampa, crews will work on tracks along East Polk Street between North Jefferson Street and North Ashley Drive. This excludes the North Florida Avenue and Tampa Street intersection.
Scheduled closures include:
North Jefferson Street and East Polk Street – June 1
North Pierce Street and East Polk Street – June 2
North Morgan Street and East Polk Street – June 3
North Marion Street, North Franklin Street, and East Polk Street – June 4
North Ashley Drive and East Polk Street – June 5
The work will take place in 24-hour segments, typically going from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. the next day, which will require temporary street closures around each work zone. CSX will complete each segment before moving to the next, the city said.

City officials said drivers should avoid all construction zones and follow posted signs and detours.
