Don’t scramble last-minute. Build your disaster supply kit now! Store essentials in airtight bags and pack everything in easy-to-carry containers like plastic bins or a duffel bag.

SANDBAGS! GET YOUR SANDBAGS!
DYK: Sandbags are available to St. Pete residents ALL YEAR LONG?! Don’t wait until a storm is coming – avoid the lines and stock up early. Tell a friend! Year-round sandbags are available Mon – Fri and the second Saturday of the month (7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) at the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building – 1744 9th Ave. N.

As we head into the rainy season, summer storms bring more than rain – they can carry excess fertilizer from our lawns into local waterways. This runoff can lead to pollution and harm marine life.
To help keep St. Pete’s waters clean and safe during storm season, heed the seasonal fertilizer ban from June 1 to September 30. It’s a simple but powerful way to protect our environment, especially as we prepare for the storms ahead.
