Key Biscayne residents won’t have to travel far to renew their driver’s license and vehicle registration thanks to a mobile vehicle that’s headed their way.

The Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s mobile unit, known as the Florida Licensing On Wheels (FLOW) will operate from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., on Tuesday, June 16, at the Village of Key Biscayne Community Center, located at 10 Village Green Way.

Key Biscayne residents can renew or replace lost driver’s licenses, identification cards, renew their vehicle registration and pay their property taxes.

The fees include driver’s License – $48, identification card – $25, driver’s license late fee – $15, financial responsibility – $150-$500 and suspensions- $15-$60.

Miami-Dade Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez said his office launched the mobile unit to travel to neighborhoods to give residents easier access to renew their driver’s license and vehicle registration and help with relief of the long lines at the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles.

Residents have options for payments that include cash, credit/debit card or check.

Online appointments are required.

Free parking will be available on the street and in the KBCC underground parking garage.
