ORLANDO, Fla. — 5 things to know about experiencing Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City
We can all imagine making it to our dream destination – whether it’s exotic or historical. The “Fever Hub” in Orlando now offers that, and we’re heading to Peru, minus the airport.
1. Machu Picchu is located in the Andes Mountains in Peru. The ancient “Lost City” was built by the Inca Empire. It was the largest civilization in the Americas before Europeans arrived.
2. Fever is a company that produces immersive theater. They created this free-roam VR experience, claiming it’s unlike any other VR events.
“We went during COVID when nobody was around and got LiDAR scans and drone photography and we put it all into virtual reality,” said Fever spokesperson Emma Shaffer.
3. “We take you back in time to show you what the civilization would’ve looked like in its glory,” she adds.
4. “Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City” is now open and takes about 40-55 minutes to experience. Guests wear specialized headsets during the VR experience.
5. Your narrator might sound familiar! He’s comedic actor Terry Crews. The attraction is located inside the Florida Mall at the Fever Hub, close to Macy’s.
