A serious crash late Halloween night at the corner of Six Mile Cypress Parkway and Top Golf Way in Fort Myers left a scene strewn with debris and one person being carried off in a stretcher.
Ryan Natle, who lives nearby, expressed his concern for those involved.
“I feel really bad for the people, I’m sure. I hope they’re OK,” said Natle.
The aftermath of the crash included skid marks on the sidewalk, leading to a damaged metal utility box and a red car that was nearly unrecognizable. Another vehicle appeared to have slammed into a nearby pole, its driver’s side door battered and bent.
“This is pretty crazy. Yeah, it’s it’s absolutely insane,” Natle said.
Natle emphasized the need for drivers to be more attentive at this intersection.
“To be honest with you, it’s no surprise. I see this kind of stuff all the time over here. Unfortunately,” he said.
He mentioned witnessing a recent rollover crash in the same area and noted a troubling trend of dangerous driving.
“I literally see it too much over here, especially in Fort Myers. In general, I just see a lot of accidents happening. Unfortunate,” Natle said.
Natle urged drivers to focus on the road.
“Just pay attention. When you’re driving, pay attention. Get off your phone. People just can’t get off their phones. Unfortunately, I see it too often,” he said.
