TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Another summer means another season of Battle Lions soccer. Tallahassee SC is off to a 2-1 start as they look ahead to the third week of their season.
Head coach Joel Di Castri says this year’s group is young. The thing with summer soccer is you don’t have a ton of time to develop a team. He said communication with this group is going to be a key to their success.
He said despite their youth, they do have depth and they are talented and he notes there’s a few things they’re looking to do to help them reach their full potential.
“An emphasis on hard work. An emphasis on team work. An emphasis on being on being humble and not ego driven,” he said. “We can learn on the fly and adapt and be the best version as ourselves as a team as quickly as possible.”
The Battle Lions are back on the pitch Wednesday night. They’ll host Panama City Beach FC at 7:00 at Gene Cox Stadium.
