TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A week ago today, we were monitoring afternoon storms and mid-summer-type humidity. Today, we welcome a cold front that is bringing some pleasant early-June weather.
Pleasant and breezy afternoon:
This will make for some really great outdoor weather, if you have any outdoor projects you want to get ahead of before the humidity returns, likely for good, this is the stretch to do so.
For beach-goers, the rip current risk is HIGH, so swimming is not advised. Additionally, the waters will be pretty choppy for any boaters hoping to hit the Gulf waters.
Another nice day tomorrow:
A really pleasant night. We will be able to give our air conditioners a break, and the thermometers will fall into the upper 50s area-wide.
A breezy and warm afternoon with low humidity again, so tomorrow is a must-get-outdoors type of day once again. Highs in the upper 80s.
More of the same for Friday and Saturday.
Changes arrive by next week:
On Sunday, the humidity will slowly start to creep back into the region. This will lead to a stray shower or two for the second half of the weekend.
The better rain chances arrive early next week as the next cold front approaches the southeast.
