• A 41-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 1:13 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of North Main Street on a battery charge. He was accused of putting someone in a headlock for an unknown reason, according to a police report.
• A 40-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 9:13 p.m. Wednesday at North Church and West Morgan streets on a Morgan County warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
• A 44-year-old Mount Vernon man was arrested at 3:21 p.m. Wednesday on a Randolph County warrant accusing him of driving while license is suspended.
• Police were called at 10:03 p.m. Wednesday to a disturbance in the 500 block of North Church Street. Those involved agreed to reconcile, according to a police report.
• Police were called at 5:59 p.m. Wednesday to the 600 block of South West Street for a report that someone was threatening to harm the resident. The person accused of making the threats left before officers arrived, according to a police report.
• A 70-year-old Virginia man was cited on a charge of failing to yield after his car and one being driven by a 43-year-old Alsey woman collided at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of West Morton Avenue.
• Police were called at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday to the 600 block of Jordan Street after a woman said a neighbor threatened her and smeared feces all over the front door of her house. The neighbor cleaned the door and the two said they would stay away from one another, according to a police report.
• A large tank of whippets — small metal canisters containing nitrous oxide — was found in an apartment in the 500 block of West State Street, according to a report filed at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday. An officer removed the items for disposal.
