Miami-Dade County, FL – Florida officials are encouraging residents to prepare early for hurricane season as the state enters the most active months for tropical weather.
Florida Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Blaise Ingoglia visited Miami-Dade County this week to discuss hurricane readiness and emergency planning.
The event was held at the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Urban Search and Rescue Training Facility and focused on steps residents can take to protect themselves, their families, and their property before severe weather develops.
During the press conference, Ingoglia emphasized the importance of preparing before a storm is forecast to impact Florida.
