TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee restaurant Kool Beanz Cafe celebrated a major milestone Thursday, marking 30 years of serving a creative, eclectic and delicious menu in Midtown.
Considered a Tallahassee treasure, Kool Beanz Cafe’s motto is “Eat, drink and talk loud. You’re among friends,” and at the restaurant, customers said thanks to the friendly staff, they feel like family, whether seated at tables in the vibrant, colorful dining room or at the bar.
London-born Keith Baxter, owner of Kool Beanz Cafe, said he’s so thankful to the Tallahassee community for all of their support over the years. Furthermore, he said he’s glad to be able to share the milestone with his customers and employees.

“For me, personally, it’s surreal,” he said. “Its been a great journey so far.”
The restaurant features a globally inspired menu with options like Tuscan-style lamb and sake-teriyaki glazed salmon.
When it comes to their desserts, their pastry chefs have earned elite recognition, including past James Beard award nominations.
