TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – It is not so often we get a nice front in June. We woke up to pleasant temperatures with very low humidity! If you have not had the opportunity to enjoy the weather, humidity will stay pretty low through the next 24 hours.
Enjoy the weather
If you are just getting home from work this afternoon, it’s still a fantastic evening to enjoy the weather or get some yardwork done.
The nice weather is thanks to a front that moved through earlier this week. Since the boundary is stuck to our south, so is the very humid air. The front is stirring up winds offshore. This is making it rough for boaters. Waves since yesterday have been between 3 and 8 feet, along with a high rip current risk.
Humidity stays away for now…
Tomorrow morning will be nice again with humidity, so get those runs in early. Tomorrow afternoon will be warm, but the humidity will stay low again.
Conditions on the waters slowly improve through the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday waves should be 2 feet or less. Still a high rip current risk, however.
The humidity will slowly creep back in over the weekend, so enjoy it for now.
Next week’s changes
As far as rain, chances look scattered at best next week as high pressure builds and keeps winds more east than southeast. This weather setup should limit the amount of moisture return, hence keeping rain chances under 50% much of next week.
