Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait

Noon to 5 p.m. Timed with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, this immersive exhibition at The Bass presents a groundbreaking film installation focused entirely on soccer icon Zinédine Zidane during a single Real Madrid match. Created by artists Douglas Gordon and Philippe Parreno, the work explores fame, performance and observation through synchronized large-scale projections and sound.

Fourth of July Community BBQ

Zero Waste Culture’s Sign-Up

9 a.m. A local sustainability initiative is helping Key Biscayne residents turn food scraps into a resource instead of waste. Hosted weekly at the Key Biscayne Farmers Market, this composting program invites residents to sign up, receive a collection bucket and drop off their organic food waste each Saturday. The collected material is transformed into nutrient-rich compost that goes back to the community.

Montanai Art

1 to 3 p.m. A hands-on art workshop inspired by the Japanese concept of mottainai, the idea that nothing should go to waste, invites participants to transform discarded materials into creative works. Led by artist Kit Pancoast, whose work is currently on view at The Kampong. Using found objects and repurposed materials, participants will create unique pieces. Designed for ages 7 and older.

Mainly Mozart Festival: Boy Meets Girl

4 to 5:30 p.m. An intimate chamber music performance showcases the acclaimed duo Boyd Meets Girl, featuring guitarist Rupert Boyd and cellist Laura Metcalf. Blending classical repertoire with Brazilian influences and imaginative reinterpretations of Beatles songs, the program offers a fresh and engaging approach to chamber music.
