TPD: 3 hurt in early morning shooting on West Orange Avenue
The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that took place in the 1100 block of West Orange Avenue.
The Tallahassee Online Police Statistics website, or TOPS, identified the location as the “Marathon Gas – Skyline Express.”
In a news release, TPD said that at around 4:34 a.m. two victims with gunshot wounds took themselves to a local hospital.
Shortly after they arrived, officers received a “shots fired” call. When officers arrived, they discovered several spent bullet casings. An additional victim later showed up on the scene with a gunshot wound to the hand.
The investigation is “active and open,” TPD said. A spokesperson declined comment on whether the incident was related to the recent spate of “pop up” parties or gatherings.
