ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) – The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is taking place in Florida for the first time.
The two-day event is happening Friday and Saturday at the St. Pete Pier, bringing elite men’s and women’s divers to Tampa Bay for the second stop of the 2026 season.
Divers are competing from a tower positioned near the North Yacht Basin. The waterfront setup gives spectators several places to watch, including Spa Beach, Bayshore Drive NE, North Straub Park and public access points throughout the pier.
Friday’s competition includes rounds two and three. The women’s finals are scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Saturday, followed by the men’s finals at 2 p.m. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 2:45 p.m.
The event is free to attend. No ticket is required for general admission viewing areas, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Large video screens are planned at North Straub Park, the Spa Beach area and on a floating screen off Bayshore Drive.

Spectators can also watch from the water. Boat viewing is allowed in the North Yacht Basin on a first-come, first-served basis. Paddleboards, kayaks and other nonmotorized vessels are also permitted.
Bayshore Drive NE between Second Avenue NE and Fifth Avenue NE is scheduled to close from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
The competition is scheduled to continue rain or shine, but organizers said it may be delayed, paused or canceled if severe weather develops.
