TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Hurricane Preparedness Distribution event is happening this weekend in Tallahassee, offering free emergency supplies to those in need during hurricane season.
During the event Saturday, flashlights, headlamps, MREs (Meals Ready to Eat), ponchos, emergency blankets, water, candles, laundry pouches, dignity kits, dog food and hydration powder will be distributed, according to Farm Share.

Items will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
For those interested, the site will open at 9 a.m. at the Leon County Health Department, located at 2965 Municipal Way and will remain open until noon or while supplies last.
