Temperatures climbing for June’s first weekend 🌡️

  • June 6, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The first weekend of June is looking warm as rain chances stay rather low. Meteorologist Cameron Aaron has the latest.

Tonight Through Saturday Night

Quiet weather will continue across the Big Bend and South Georgia for Friday night. Lows settle in the mid-to-upper-60s under a mostly clear sky.

Saturday is looking warm and mostly dry. Temperatures top out in the low-90s under a mostly sunny sky. A stray shower is possible during the afternoon and evening, mainly in our western counties near the Apalachicola River. However, most are dry to start the weekend.

We are tracking calm conditions for Saturday night. Lows bottom out in the upper-60s and low-70s under a mostly clear to partly cloudy sky.

Highs Stay Warm

More of the same is on the way for the second half of the weekend. Highs top out in the low-90s under a mix of Sun and clouds. Again, a stray shower is possible on Sunday, but most are looking dry and warm. Lows settle near 70º.

Temperatures continue to climb as we kick off the work week. Highs on Monday soar into the low-and-mid-90s under a partly cloudy sky. Be sure to stay cool and hydrated. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible to start the work week. However, rain chances are not super impressive. Lows fall into the low-70s.

Extended Forecast

Looking ahead, moisture slowly begins to increase for the second half of next week.

A few showers and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, the rain coverage is not looking very widespread at this point.

Highs hover in the low-to-mid-90s under a mix of Sun and clouds. Lows settle in the upper-60s and low-70s.
