WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) – Walton County Fire Rescue, Florida posted on its Facebook page information about a structure fire north of DeFuniak Springs.

FIREFIGHTERS KNOCK DOWN STRUCTURE FIRE IN LIBERTY COMMUNITY
Walton County Fire Rescue is currently on scene of a structure fire on Juniper Lake Drive north of DeFuniak Springs.
WCFR, along with Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Florida, Liberty Volunteer Fire District, Argyle Fire District, and City of DeFuniak Springs Fire Department, responded to a shed fire that was fully engulfed upon arrival.
The fire spread to a nearby structure, but firefighters quickly worked to contain the flames, preventing the blaze from damaging a nearby home.
Crews remain on scene at this time conducting overhaul operations. Liberty volunteer firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire at this time.
