UPDATE (6:45 p.m. June 5): Florida 511 showed all road alerts cleared in the Tallahassee area.

ORIGINAL STORY: A crash in the area of Interstate 10 and Capital Circle in Tallahassee has snarled traffic and is backing up travelers.

A Florida 511 alert said, “… all SB lanes are blocked. Use caution and seek alternate route.” A later alert said, “Use caution in the area. Congestion from MM 205 to Exit 203.”

The latest alert says, “Crash on I-10 Eastbound at MM 205. All lanes closed.” No other information was available.

A spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol referred questions to local law enforcement; requests for information are pending.

A photo from a highway camera near mile marker 205 showed backed up traffic westbound and almost no vehicles on the eastbound lanes.

Meantime, local drivers are advised to avoid I-10 till further notice.
