TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Rain chances stay spotty in the short term, but we are looking ahead to a few changes later in the week.
Tonight Through Tuesday Night
An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible for Monday evening, but we are turning mostly dry and mild for the overnight. Lows fall into the low-70s under a partly to mostly cloudy sky.
Clouds are looking a little more pesky on Tuesday, and those should help keep temperatures slightly lower. We top out in the upper-80s to low-90s under a partly sunny sky. Again, a few showers and thunderstorms are possible during the peak heating of the day, but rain chances are not widespread.
We are mostly quiet and muggy for Tuesday night. Overnight lows dip into the low-70s under a partly cloudy sky.
Middle Of The Week
The summer sizzle will stick around for the middle of the week.
Highs on Wednesday climb into the low-90s under a mix of Sun and clouds. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible for the afternoon and evening, but it will not rain for everyone. Lows fall into the low-70s.
Moisture should begin to increase by Thursday, so we are expecting a slightly higher rain chance during the afternoon and evening. Still, many areas will miss out on the rain completely. Highs hover in the low-90s under a partly cloudy sky, with lows in the low-70s.
Extended Forecast
As we close out the week, the weather pattern is looking pretty typical for mid-June.
We are warm and muggy for Friday and the weekend. Highs soar into the low-and-mid-90s under a partly sunny sky. We are expecting heat index values to climb into the upper-90s and low-100s in some spots.
In terms of rain chances, moisture will stay pretty elevated, so we should see more of those pop-up, scattered showers and thunderstorms each day. It will not rain all day, but pack the umbrella for those weekend plans, just in case.
Overnight low temperatures remain mild and muggy. We hover in the low-to-mid-70s.
