Glad to see this teacher being held accountable, but I think the bond should have been higher.
As for the kid, there will be a point in time where he will have so much trouble sleeping. And if he does sleep, he will have nightmares of this. And anything that would trigger a flashback would probably send him off into anger. I know firsthand because I was also assaulted by my educators when I was a couple years younger than him, Kindergarten and First Grade to be specific. I also have said medical conditions and was admittedly not an easy child to handle. Unfortunately, everyone in my case got away with what they did, from the Kindergarten Teacher, the First Grade Teacher who only taught ESE, all the way to the Principal and Vice Principal. Physical, verbal, and emotional.
Sorry for the rant, but vile actions like this done to an ESE Student is unacceptable and downright disgusting. And the mental scars from this will be permanent. Also, seeing stuff like this makes my blood boil because I can completely relate to this.
