TAMPA, Fla. – As summer break gets underway across Tampa Bay, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay are welcoming children and teens through free and low-cost summer programs at 41 locations.
The programs serve youth ages 5 through young adulthood, offering games, educational activities, mentorship, and a safe place to spend the summer while helping working families find affordable childcare options.

Club leaders said accessibility is a key focus, with free programs, low-cost enrollment, and scholarships available for families who need financial assistance.
“We believe in the philosophy that every child has an opportunity, and we want to level the playing field across the board. And that includes financial support,” said Cassandra Thomas with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay.
Thomas said the organization wants to ensure every child has a place to go while school is out.
“We want to make sure that every young person has a place to go during the summertime. We want to make sure that we are a support system for parents and for our community at large,” she said.
The summer programs run Monday through Friday, with many sites operating from 7 a.m. until as late as 7 p.m. Officials said the goal is to keep kids active, engaged, and connected throughout the summer months.
