TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Leon County commissioners signed off on a change that will be on voters’ ballots this November.
Commissioners approved Leon County Schools’ mileage referendum, which would increase the property tax rate to bolster teacher pay.
The school board approved the measure last month, and Tuesday’s vote puts it in front of voters this fall.
LCS is also seeking to continue a half-cent sales tax that has been in place since 2002, which will also be up to voters this November.
