Burbank

SEXTORTION: Officers advised a social media content creator to have no further contact with an online individual who persuaded him to send naked images and video of himself and then demanded $800 to prevent the images from going to the creator’s online followers, police said. The creator told police in late May the request for images and demand for money occurred after the two moved an online conversation to Telegram, a cross-platform workspace, police said.

GUN POSSESSION: A confused 23-year-old Burbank man from the 8000 block of Lorel Avenue was arrested and transported to a nearby medical center for evaluation after officers found him early May 23 in a neighbor’s backyard with a loaded shotgun, police said. Officers seized the weapon and filed a request with state police to revoke the man’s gun permit, police said.

Crete

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Jeff Jackson Jr., 41, 24500 block of Independence Boulevard, Crete, was arrested May 22 and subsequently charged with aggravated domestic battery, according to court records online.

AGGRAVATED FLEEING: A Chicago man who injured his arm leading police on a 2.8-mile chase is scheduled to appear in Will County court June 18, accused of aggravated fleeing 21 mph over, bodily injury/property damage and possessing more than 500 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver, according to police and court records online. Floyd R. Thomas, 40, was driving north on Illinois 394 from a May 31 stop by Beecher police with 1.45 pounds of marijuana, $998 cash, 74 plastic sandwich bags, a scale and a coffee grinder when a Crete sergeant began pursuit at Burville Road and then through an Exchange Street construction zone at speeds in excess of 105 mph, turning north on Klemme Road and ending about 200 yards past Old Post Road at a utility pole, police said.

Evergreen Park

GUN POSSESSION: Horace K. Lowe, 60, Chicago, was arrested May 14 and subsequently charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon after officers recovered an unloaded .22 caliber pistol with a loaded magazine inserted, 144 bullets not loaded in a magazine during a stop in the 9400 block of Kedzie Avenue, police said. Lowe was also accused of possessing cocaine with intent to sell after officers recovered 24.1 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a digital scale, two glass pipes with burnt residue and a copper mesh filter commonly used inside pipes for smoking crack cocaine, police said.

PUBLIC INDECENCY: Leverne Burnette, 33, Chicago, was arrested May 18 at a warehouse store in the 2500 block of 95th Street and subsequently charged with public indecency and felony resisting arrest after fondling himself while following a female customer and then indirectly causing an officer’s injury while being taken into custody, police said.

Ford Heights

GUN, DRUGS: Gamelle Patterson, 46, 1500 block of Diplomat Lane, Ford Heights, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Markham June 17, charged with being a felon possessing a weapon, cocaine possession and ecstasy possession, according to sheriff’s police and jail information online. Deputies executing a search warrant June 1 at Patterson’s home recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun, 97 grams of suspected crack cocaine and 19 suspected ecstasy tablets, sheriff’s police said.

Homer Glen

DUI CRASH: Jenna M. Crohan, 34, 300 block of Division Street, Lockport, is scheduled to appear in Will County court June 18, charged with aggravated drunken driving/injured passengers, according to Will County court records online. Crohan was arrested May 30 at a crash at Cedar and Bruce roads involving two child passengers, Will County sheriff’s police said.

New Lenox

THEFT: Khalil K. Hart, 31, Chicago, was arrested May 14 at a store in the 200 block of Prairie Road on a charge of theft in connection with taking a bicycle secured at the Metra station, police said.

DUI CRASH: Max Trudeau, 33, 8500 block of Hollybrook Lane, Tinley Park, was arrested May 23 and subsequently charged with drunken driving and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, according to Will County court records online. Deputies arrested Trudeau during a single-vehicle crash investigation in the 100 block of East Joliet Highway near New Lenox, sheriff’s police said.

Oak Lawn

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Sami F. Hirmiz, 21, 8800 block of Austin Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested May 11 in the 5900 block of 89th Place and charged with residential burglary in connection with the Feb. 7 entry of a home in that block involving jewelry valued at $8,000 and $15,000 cash, police and court records show.

BURGLARY TOOLS: Jeremy Power, 19 Chicago, was arrested early June 2 near 101st Street and Kilbourn Avenue and subsequently charged with illegally possessing burglary tools and possessing ammunition without a gun permit, police said. Officers recovered a backpack containing screwdrivers, a pry bar, a glass breaker, and 26 live rounds of 9mm ammunition while questioning Powers about a garage break-in in the 10500 block of Kedvale Avenue, police said.

Orland Park

GUN POSSESSION: Thomas C. Campbell, 30, East Chicago, Indiana, was arrested May 6 outside a restaurant in the first block of Orland Square Drive and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon after officers, who were aware he was arrested in Indiana for possessing a handgun, recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun with a loaded magazine inserted from his vehicle, police said.

Park Forest

DAMAGED WINDOWS: Devin R. Crims, 34, 800 block of Audrey Avenue, Lynwood, was arraigned May 18 on a felony charge of damaging property, according to Will County court records online. Crims smashed a residential bay window in the 400 block of Indianwood Boulevard early on Nov. 24 and then took a laptop computer from the trunk of a nearby car and used it to smash the car’s windshield and four windows, causing nearly $3,945 damage, police said.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Willie E. Grasper, 21, first block of Arbor Trail, Park Forest, was arrested May 1 at Lester and Liams roads and subsequently charged with one count of aggravated battery/public place and one count of aggravated domestic battery, police said.

Steger

DUI CRASH: Abbey D. Lussing, 27, Steger, was arrested May 17 in Crete and subsequently charged with drunken driving, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, hit-run and failing to produce proof of insurance during a crash investigation at Chicago and Steger roads, police said.

DISTURBANCE: Officers are investigating a report of a Matteson man firing a gun May 22 in a resident’s apartment in the 300 block of west Steger Road during an argument, police said.
