The biggest show this weekend, in terms of potential audience size, is the Saturday concert with country music’s Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson at Raymond James Stadium. It’s a double-header weekend at the Mid-Florida Credit Union Amphitheatre, with rock’s Evanescence with Spirit Box and Nova Twins Friday (tickets here), and Latin R&B performer Kalis Uchis with Mariah the Scientist Saturday (tickets here).

On theater stages

Eric Davis, Michael Raabe and Matthew McGee, a.k.a. the creative brain trust at freeFall Theatre, wrote the show Bash of the Titans, opening this weekend. American Stage is entering the second weekend of The Hot Wing King, Katori Hall’s Pulitzer Prize-winning dramedy about a Memphis family preparing for the “Hot Wang Festival.” Cordell Crutchfield, his boyfriend Dwayne and their hang, the New Wing Order, are after the crown. The 2026 Tampa International Fringe Festival, in Ybor City, began Wednesday and will continue through June 21.
